I was born on a Wednesday.

Although I have got to know the majority of my friends through various fandoms, my journal is a 'real life' journal rather than a fandom journal, although I will sometimes post about my favourite series.

In my case, my 'friends list' is a list of those I consider friends, those whose journals I am interested in, and those who are interested in my journal. I do not use reading filters, and only very occasionally use writing filters. While I'm lucky enough to be able to call many of those on my friends list 'friends', there are still many that I do not know but whose journals I find interesting, or who I'd be interested in getting to know in the future. If you are on my friends list, then I read your journal, even if I do not comment often; conversely, you will be able to read the majority of my posts. If I friend you, it means that I'm interested in the content of your journal; there's no need to reciprocally friend me if you are not interested in the content of mine.

My journal is 'friends only' only because I like to have a rough idea of who is reading my entries--as I write almost exclusively about my daily life, it simply feels a little strange to leave my posts 'public'. If you add me, though, I'm almost certain to add you back, as there's no need for me to be secretive about my day-to-day life. You don't need to ask if you can add me: just do it, and I'll notice, and I'll look at your journal, and I'll add you back. (If I don't notice, feel free to prod me on my 'friends only' post!) I don't friend empty journals, or ones where I'm the only listed friend unless I know who you are, though!
